Attracted to the 47 women candidates dates being elected as Councillors of Ludhiana Municipal Corporation in the recently held elections of the Corporation, our NGO decided to hold one seminar on Women Empowerment on 25th march, 2018 at our Day Care Centre. Mrs, Neeru Katyal Gupta, ADC, Ludhiana was the chief guest. A large number of women Councillors were invited, notably Mrs. Mamta Ashu presented her view how she has developed to work independently. Most of the Councillors (lady) sit at home and their husbands/other family members represent them officially. Our NGO called upon such lady Councillors to drop their shyness and our NGO shall be helping them in all their day-to-day activities for the development for their wards.
